Hard Night Guards

Mouthguard/Nightguards offer the highest level of protection and fit over boil-and bite mouthguards. Our mouthguards are thin and custom fitted to outlast other mouthguards. They can be fabricated for either arch and are modified to your construction bite registration. A hard outer layer is durable and clear and the soft inner layer rests comfortably against the teeth and gums.

Soft Omni Vacuum Night Guard

Soft night guards are made from modified ethyl methacrylate, silicone, or a similar elastomer and a pliable, flexible material, providing a softer and more forgiving feel in the mouth. They are thinner than hard night guards, making them more comfortable for patients.

They are generally preferred by patients who prioritize comfort and have mild to moderate bruxism. They are also suitable for patients who have sensitive gums or trouble adjusting to the bulkiness of hard night guards.

Soft night guards are recommended when comfort and ease of adaptation are important for patient compliance. They offer protection against teeth grinding and clenching and can be effective for those with less severe bruxism.

Hard/Soft Night Guard

Soft/hard dental splints tend to be made from a combination of hard acrylic and softer thermoplastic material. Typically, a layer of hard acrylic is sandwiched together with a layer of softer thermoplastic to create a two-layer occlusal splint. The hard acrylic creates a durable outer shell to protect teeth from grinding and clenching. The inner thermoplastic layer fits directly over the teeth to improve patient comfort. Soft/hard splints can be made to fit over the upper or lower teeth, and are useful in the treatment of mild to moderate bruxism. As soft/hard splints are generally more comfortable than hard splints, they are also helpful for improving patient compliance. As such, soft/hard splints could be considered for use with patients who are particularly sensitive or apprehensive about using hard splints.

Bleaching Trays

Bleaching trays are plastic teeth retainers created out of a mold of the client’s teeth. The trays are used to hold a teeth-bleaching gel for some time as the bleach cleanses the teeth. The tray is custom-made to fit the patient’s upper and lower teeth.

TMJ Gelb Appliance

The temporomandibular joints, called TMJ, are the joints and jaw muscles that make it possible to open and close your mouth. Located on each side of the head, your TMJ work together when you chew, speak or swallow and include muscles and ligaments as well as the jaw bone. They also control the lower jaw (mandible) as it moves forward, backward and side to side.

Each TMJ has a disc between the ball and socket. The disc cushions the load while enabling the jaw to open widely and rotate or glide. Any problem that prevents this complex system of muscles, ligaments, discs and bones from working properly may result in a painful TMJ disorder.

Possible causes of TMJ disorders include:
